Magnivate Interactive Boutique Agency

http://.magnivate.com/flash_us.html

Magnivate is an interactive boutique agency based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
They aim at using digital tachnology to give visitors a "genuine experience".

--It's a snapshot of Magnivate's little planet(after preloader).

--preloader,when homepage is loading, the spaceship is in a small movie

The whole website is under the idea of a small planet other than the earth, which is with alliens, spaceships, splendid cultural diversities and travelling in the space. Before you load and enter the homepage, you need to identify yourself. They care about your name, country and your email. You can also upload your face picture to assign to your character in this planet! Everything is about identification.

Of course, they also offer a choice of "skip" in this part, which allows you to continue exploring this website without entering any personal information. It's good to offer the visitors a second choice to skip rather than force anyone to reveal themselves. It's considerate to do so and user friendly.

There is a small totorial box at hand whenever you need it. The operation is simple, just use keyboard to control your character: "left/right" to move around and "up" to jump! Your character will do what you demand for. Smooth movement and quick response.

This is me. My character as a girl in frog spacesuit(?). I didn't enter my name, so the system just generated a number as the name for my character. And there's a bar at the bottom of the page allowing you to type messages. When you finish and press "enter", a conversation box will appear and rise from the character's head to "speak out" the words.

However, it seems impossible to hear any response--you are the only guest on this planet!
So sad.

"CAMERA MODE", you can snap any scene you are posing for by clicking the button "snap". And the picture will immediately be generated.

Moreover, you have three styles to choose from, to simply modify it.
And finally, you can save or retake it!So nice!

When the character comes across a certain position, the information box will rise from the land or hang from the sky. When the character goes away from the position, the information will fold again automatically.

The menu bar at the bottom is a shortcut to go to any point you want. It doesn't simply switch the scene, but a spaceship will appear to take you(your character) there! The spaceship will drop you at that point, and the information box appears.

Nice transition!

Overall it's a lovely website that tells a story of a small planet. The theme is clear and consistent. The visual is enjoyable and the care for identity is appreciated. The navigation is clear and effective, with some creativity that brings surprise.
But the interaction among individuals is relatively weak. You(or your character) might feel lonely (on this planet) after a while, even though you can "speak".

Vision Five Designs

http://www.v5design.com/

Vision Five Designs is a graphic & web design and development company located in North Port, Florida. It's their company's website.

The homepage depicts a tranquil and beautiful scene in the mountain. Green butterflies are flying elegantly. The depth of scene and layers of elements are appreciated. It makes you want to stay.

The butterfly is so fairy tale style, like what you may dream about.

The way the button highlighted is beautiful too.

All elements compose together in front of you, and the butterfly apprears again, in an elegant way.

A vintage style of note for you to "write" down the contact.

It is interesting to see your typing of words transfer to handwritten font in real time!

The background music is nice. And you can control the sound by three levels, or mute it.

All in all, it's simple and beautiful. They pay great attention to details. The structure of the website is relatively simple and each part is orderly listed. However, there's not much interactive among different contents and less control authorized to audience.

Prismgirl

"Prismgirl" is Azusa Mano Graphic Portfolio.
Azusa Mano is a Japanese girl who just graduated from university holding a nice portfolio of artworks.

The theme of this webpage is a huge tree with a blue color tone(it reminds me of Avatar's planet somehow). No words and explicit navigation bars, but when your mouse move around, different effects and animations appear. Sometimes you can click the clickable point and find the manue bar.

The preloader. On the left, the sun flower can move and on the right you can click the lamp to light it. The text in between is static. However, the loading time is relatively long.

The bottom part of the page. It's the root of the hugh tree and it's down to the earth with a scene of a dull city.

Move the mouse to the upper part of the page and the scene will move up to the upper part of the tree. Like your mouse is controlling a camera.
There would be problem when you see something interesting and want to stay!
Actually it's rolling too fast, it seems annoying every time you find something click-able or interesting to have a closer look that you want to stop but it just can't!Most of the time it rolls over the point, and you have to keep your mouse stay still to hold the page relatively static in order to go back to the point.

This sparkling light will all the way follow your mouse.

The menu bar appear when you click the click-able elements.
It's her profile, blog, portfolio and sound control.
Actually they are all links to webpages outside this website. It's a shame they are not integrated. And you will be easily linked to another website that's totally not the same one!

And it's boring, all the memu bars are the same!!

Overall, the visual elements and compositions are stunning, but the integration is weak and the structure of contents is too simple.

sensisoft

http://www.sensisoft.com/

Sensi Soft, meaning "Sens(e) in design and Soft approach", is an IT company provide latest technology web based solutions. It's based in Poland.

The theme of this website is "Travel In Time".
The homepage is "About US:London 1880".

Great details and great care for the ambient setting.

The man and the horses (with movements).

The waving flag.

The flying gulls.

The London Bridge.

Great analogy and texture and details of the information box, with casual style of wordings.

The transition is amazing.

"Moscow 1920"

passing car
"Chicago 1940"
"Paris 1970"

"Barcelona 2008"

"Tokyo 2030"

The menu:nice movement.

All in all, the transition and integration is great. The care for details is highly appreciated. Everything's beautiful and elegant somehow. Despite the lack of interactive function for visitors, it's an enjoyable artpiece in cyberworld.

Agencynet

http://www.agencynet.com/

Agencynet is a USA digital agency having 15 years of experience in this 15-year old industry.

This is a webpage before loading the website(before preloader movie shows).
The attitude of advertising and showing off professionalism:)

The preloader, is a movie clips in 3D visual effects.

The homepage, simulating the front view of it's Florida office building, with people busy around engaged in different activities.

webpage of "About"

transition between pages.

Showcase of portfolio. The rolling transition is similar to that used in iPod.

Some staff have a "t" sign over head which is clickable for showing twitter quotes.

With a single click to switch the setting to its New York office building!

The red "H" is so outstanding that you can't resist to have a look. It's an advertising.

With a single click, the scene just move to the right and a new page shows up.
It's the blog called all.com. Rich contents!

All in all, the office building setting is of realism and fascinating. It creates a special experience of visiting this company in real life. And the ambient of busy working calls for people's resonance. The professional image they build is perfect enough to be regarded as trustworthy at the first sight. It tries all the best to capture your eyes from the very beginning. The awareness of branding is appreciated.
